Before contacting support, please read through the FAQ's below. Chances are, you'll find an answer to your question without having to go any farther.

If you are experiencing a persistent technical problem and you do need to contact support, bear in mind that the more details you can provide us with up front, the faster and easier it will be for us to get to the bottom of the problem. Please include any information about your computing environment that you are able to gather, such as operating system, browser, internet connection type, and Flash version. In addition, please be sure to include your user name and the date/time that you experienced the problem as well as a general description of the problem and any error messages you may have encountered.

How do I become a Registered User?

It’s easy to become a registered user of the My Inner World website. You can select “New Users Register” at any time from the options located at the top left of your screen, below the “My Inner World” logo.

When you’re done entering your information on the New User Registration screen, all you have to do is click “Submit” located at the lower left of the screen.

It’s important to note that a confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address to activate your account. You will need to click the link that is embedded in your activation email before you can login to the My Inner World website as a registered user. The activation email will also contain your user and password information so it’s good idea to store this email in a safe place.

I didn’t receive my account activation email - what do I do?

Look for an email with the subject heading “Welcome to MyInnerWorld.com!” from support@myinnerworld.com. Be sure to check your Junk mail and Trash as sometimes emails will be mistakenly labeled as junk or trash and routed directly to these places before you see them. If you still don’t find your activation email, contact support@myinnerworld.com. Please include "Account Activation Request" in the subject of your email.

*Important: Be sure to include the user name that you chose for the account
when you registered.

Can I use the site without becoming a Registered User?

You do not have to register to explore the My Inner World website. However, you will miss out on the many benefits of becoming a Registered Member. These benefits include:

  • Access to additional site activities like the Plant a Seed activity in the Flowerbed.
  • Posting messages in the Community Tent
  • Recording your experiences in your Personal Journal
  • Embarking on a Guided Journey

How do I log in?

As a Registered User, you may log in at any time by clicking the “Log In” banner at the top left of your screen. Once you are logged in, you will notice your user name appears in the white oval beneath the “menu” & “Log Out” banners.

I forgot my username/password – what do I do?

If you are a Registered User and you forgot your username or password you can have an email sent to your registered email account with the missing information. To retrieve your lost username or password, simply go to the Log In screen by clicking the “Log In” banner at the top left of your screen and click “forgot your username/password?”

What is a Guided Journey?

For registered members of Myinnerworld.com: if you would like to experience the full richness of this site, you are urged to go on the 12 Guided Journeys, which are designed to assist you in your own journey of self-discovery and self-exploration. By exploring this peaceful landscape, and playing our simple interactive activities, you’ll receive surprising insights about yourself and achieve a clearer understanding of your own inner world.

There are 12 separate journeys, with a different task attached to each one.

In each journey, you will be asked to collect 12 different tokens, which you will receive by exploring the areas and completing various activities. You can always view the tokens you have acquired by clicking on your gunnysack, where you will also find a map indicating where the tokens can be found. Not every experience delivers a token, but you are encouraged to read the content and view the videos, as the knowledge you will receive will enhance your journey and assist you in completing your tasks.

The ultimate goal of these 12 journeys is for you to create a graphic representation of your inner world, in the form of a mural on the Courtyard Wall. This mural is a sort of inner map comprised of your personal crest and representative icons that serve to illustrate and reveal the unique gifts and talents that lie within you.

You may begin a journey at any time after logging in as a registered user and clicking “Start a Journey” located just below the Journal icon at the bottom left of your screen. To start off with, pick three tokens to begin your journey. Be sure to read the content accompanying your selection, as it will offer interesting insights as to where you are in your life at the present time.

(If you decide to leave your journey by logging off, that’s O.K., as all the tokens you’ve collected and the position of your journey will be saved as a registered member.)

Where do I find Help?

As you navigate the site, you can click on the “Guidance” link located at the bottom left of your screen for text that will help to explain different areas of the site. You may also click on the “Michele” link at the bottom right of your screen to launch area-specific videos that will enrich your website experience. If you are having technical problems with the website please email support@myinnerworld.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. 

How do I navigate the site?

You may navigate the site by clicking on any of the 11 area icons on the Home page. You can go to the Castle, but you may not enter the Castle until you have completed your first task in a Guided Journey.

You can also navigate the site by clicking on the “menu” banner at the top left of your screen. Selecting the “menu” will open a text navigation menu that you may use to navigate the site. To collapse the menu, simply click the menu banner again.

What is a Gunnysack? And what are the tokens for?

Your gunnysack is where you keep your tokens in a Guided Journey. The gunnysack is represented by an icon that is located below your Personal Journal icon at the bottom left corner of your screen. At the start of each journey you will be asked to pick three tokens that are placed in your gunnysack. You will need to collect a total of 12 tokens before going on to the Castle to complete a task. You receive tokens by exploring the different areas of the website and completing various activities. The gunnysack icon will display a number to indicate how many tokens you have earned. You can always view the tokens you have acquired by clicking on your gunnysack, where you will also find a map indicating where the tokens can be found.

How do I access my Personal Journal?

Once you are logged-in as a registered user of the site you may access your Personal Journal by clicking on the Journal icon located at the bottom left of your screen just above the Gunnysack icon. Your journal will automatically record entries as you complete activities and make your way through the site. You may also create your own journal entries by clicking “New”, located at the top of the journal page to the right of the center binding. You can change the font & apply basic formatting to your entries using the bookmark menu that appears in edit mode. You may also upload a single image per entry by clicking the image icon on the bookmark menu.

How do I sign-up for an email subscription? How do I opt-out?

When you register you are automatically included on a mailing list to receive email updates from Michele. If you would prefer not to receive these email updates you may opt-out by clicking on the “Profile” icon located at the lower left of your screen. On your User Profile page, you can click the “Subscriptions” button located at the bottom center of the screen and select “opt-out.” Alternatively, you can select the “opt-out” link directly in any email updates you receive.

Technical Troubleshooting:

I can't log in – what do I do?

You may already be logged in. If you see a banner that says "Log Out" in the upper left corner of the screen with your user name below it, you are already logged in.

If you prefer to not be automatically logged in when you visit myinnerworld.com, you can disable that preference by logging out and making sure that the "Remember me on this computer" check box is not selected when logging in on future visits.

Why isn't the website loading?

  1. Check at least two other websites to make sure that your internet connection is working.

  2. Clear your browser's cache and restart your browser. It is possible that an error may have occurred while downloading one or more site files. Clearing your cache and restarting your browser will often resolve these types of problems. If you're not sure how to clear your cache, visit http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser%27s-Cache for instructions.

If you are still having problems viewing the site after going through the above steps, you can perform a system test to ensure that your computer and internet connection meet the minimum requirements for viewing the site.

Myinnerworld requires a broadband internet connection. Dial-up will not work. If your computer fails, or passes at the low (red) end of the bandwidth portion of the system test, you will most likely need to access myinnerworld.com from a network with a faster connection.
