Home : Wishing Well : Sound and the Power of Words : What's in a Word
It is very important that we learn to free words not of meaning but of connotations which limit the thought form possible in a word. In interacting with other people we sometimes lose the ability to hear as if we've never heard before. Memories become inbedded in certain words. Everything is new and specific to a moment. When we are able to free words from their historical attachments, we are able to receive specifically what is being given to us in that single moment. Words are alive and carry tremendous possiblities. As we free the word, we free our lives.
